DESCRIPTION
This lino print or linoleum print was inspired by some of my favorite monster movies from the 1980s-90s. When I originally had the idea I thought the light of the refrigerator in a dark kitchen would be rendered beautifully in a carved linoleum print. The contrasts of light and dark really make the shadows pop and highlight the figure. When it came to making the final piece I originally sketched my design in Adobe. Then I transferred and carved the design into a linoleum sheet that was pre-mounted onto a block of wood. It was then printed onto damp BFK Rives printmaking paper in a set of 10.
