SET DESCRIPTION
This set was made from a combination of foam, cardboard, paper, modeling paste, wood, clay & found objects. Some things, like the silver trashcan, were actually originally an old pill bottle that I added ridges to and then covered in foil. Other objects were made entirely by hand like the banana box and the miniature food scraps, which were made using polymer clay. The brick walls were made using a hot tool on one solid piece of foam to carve the individual bricks and all of the graffiti you see on the walls was done entirely by hand without an airbrush. I'm a big fan of incorporating "easter eggs" in my work. (As I think most miniature artists and set decorators are.) If you look carefully, you will find nods to famous street artists on the walls including, Banksy, Brian Donnelly, & Shepard Fairey. My Scott Pilgrim fans might also notice a Toronto International Battle of the Bands poster or two.

PUPPET DESCRIPTION
The puppet was made in a very traditional way by making a wire armature covered in foam and dipped in colored latex. The head was sculpted from polymer clay and painted to match the skin. The hair was made from a hand-dyed synthetic fiber and glued to the head, along with some wire to aid in support and ease in animation. The clothes are made by a combination of machine and hand sewing. The shoes were made from sculpting epoxy and wire for the laces. Sadly, there are not too many photos of this puppet by itself.
